How to confirm/set up a 2.4GHz network

2.4GHz Network

There are two ways of confirming that the network you are trying to connect your Dock Pro to is a 2.4 GHz Network.

Option 1

This will be contingent on the type of device you are using.

iOS - a third party application needs to be installed such as "Net Analyzer", a link to to app can be found below:

Android - Swipe down on the screen for the notifications panel to appear > Press and hold the WiFi icon > select the settings (gear icon) for the current/connected network > then it is in one of the two options depending on the android version:

Read the “Frequency” setting – shows as 2.4 or 5GHz

Read the “Network speed” setting – if speed is over 400 Mbps then you are using 5GHz network.

Apple Computer - Hold down the Option/Alt key on your keyboard and select the WiFi icon in the nav bar. The WiFi network frequency can be found in the Channel section.

Windows/Microsoft Computer - Open the network panel from the taskbar > Click ‘Properties’ > Under the Properties section the ‘Network Band’ should be listed as 2.4GHz or 5.0 GHz

Option 2

  1. Enter the IP address of the network in a browser.
  2. Enter in your username and password. (Note: Typically, the Username will be “admin” and the password will be blank or “admin”.
  3. Click the Advanced Settings tab.
  4. Click Network Settings.
  5. Enable the 2.4 GHz band.
