Over time, bacteria, mold, and mildew can develop in your Chilipad’s water. That’s where Chilipad System Cleaner comes in!

How does System Cleaner work?

System Cleaner contains ingredients called “quats” that attach to microorganisms and disrupt their protective outer layers, helping prevent unwanted growth inside your system.

How often should I use it?

Simply add one packet of System Cleaner each month to help keep your reservoir, hoses, and Hydrolayer clean. For step-by-step instructions on the monthly maintenance and system flush, visit sleep.me/system-cleaner-tips

What kind of water should I use?

Use distilled water, which contains fewer minerals and impurities than tap water, to help prevent buildup and keep your Chilipad running at its best.

Does System Cleaner contain ammonia or bleach?

No. “Quats” is short for quaternary ammonium compounds, a family of cleaning ingredients that is different from household ammonia. System Cleaner does not contain ammonia or bleach, and it is unscented.

Is System Cleaner safe to handle?

Please follow the safety information printed on the packet:

  • Keep out of reach of children. Harmful or fatal if swallowed.
  • Eye and skin irritant. If it contacts your eyes or skin, flush or rinse well with water for 15 minutes.
  • Do not mix with other household chemicals.
  • If swallowed, call a Poison Control Center or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
