Overview
A fan on a heatsink helps dissipate heat generated by heat exchanger. It blows air over the heartsink's metal fins, increasing airflow and carrying heat away from the device. This enhanced cooling prevents overheating and maintains optimal performance. Without a fan, the heatsink would be less effective at transferring heat away from the component.
