Introduction

If your remote is acting up, start with the Quick Guide Remote Menu. It gives you instant insights into network status, software version, vibration settings, airplane mode, radar, pairing, and more, so you can see what might be off. Walk through each option and you will quickly confirm connections, update firmware if needed, quiet unwanted buzzes, or restart pairing. Think of this menu as your handy first stop before moving on to deeper fixes.

 

Remote Menu Details

Brightness

  • Adjusts the display’s backlight level. Slide left for a dim, battery-friendly glow or right for maximum visibility in bright rooms.

Screen Timeout

  • Screen Timeout lets you set how long your device’s screen stays on when not in use. Pick from 5 seconds for quick shut-off, or “Never” to keep it on until you turn it off. Choose keep your screen awake.

Vibration

  • Toggles the remote’s vibration feedback; turn it off for silent use.

Airplane Mode

  • Toggles Wi-Fi off on the Dock while keeping the Remote linked through Thread. Automations and schedules still run, but the Remote’s clock won’t update.

Presence

  • Uses the proximity sensor so the screen wakes when you pick up or move the remote. 

Radar

  • Toggles the remote’s motion-sensing radar. When ON, it detects movement nearby to wake the screen or trigger automations; when OFF, it keeps the remote idle until you touch the screen or turn the Remote's dial.

Wi-Fi Network

  • See at a glance if your Dock is online. If it’s not, you’ll see “Not Connected”; when it is, the network name appears. Your remote’s MAC address is also listed for quick router setup when connected.

Temp. Unit

  • Toggles how temperatures display: °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit).

24-Hour Time

  • Toggles between military (24-hour) and standard (12-hour) clock formats.

Remote Status

  • Instantly shows whether your Remote is paired with a Dock. When paired, it lists Dock name, MAC address, and last sync time.

Firmware Version

  • Displays the software version currently running on your Remote.

Pairing Mode

  • Makes the Remote discoverable so your Dock can find and link to it. Turn it on to start searching, then switch it off once the connection is made.

Prime Hydrolayer

  • Enters the Dock's Priming mode for the Hydrolayer

Factory Reset

  • Deletes the Remote’s settings and restores it to its original, out-of-box condition, putting it into pairing mode.

Re-pairing the Remote to Your Dock

This guide shows you how to pair your Remote with the Dock. The process takes about a minute, so you’ll be up and running quickly. Follow the steps below for a fast and easy connection.
 

Let’s begin!

Power On Devices

  • Power on the Remote.
  • Power on the Dock.

Enter Pairing Mode on the Dock

  • Access the Main Menu:
       - Simultaneously press the Minus (–) and Plus (+) buttons on the Dock.
  • Navigate to the "Pair Remote" option:
       - Use the Minus (–) button to scroll.
  • Select "Pair Remote":
       - Press the Power button to enter the pairing section.
  • Start Pairing:
       - Press the Plus (+) button.  
       - The Dock will now enter pairing mode and search for your Remote.

Enter Pairing Mode on the Remote

  • On the Remote, tap Get Started.
  • Tap Begin Pairing.
       - The Remote will now enter pairing mode and search for your Dock.

Pairing Confirmation

Once the Dock locates your Remote, it will display a 4-digit Pairing Code.
Ensure that the pairing code shown on both the Dock and the Remote matches.

Complete the Pairing

  • On the Remote, tap Confirm Pairing Code.
  • The Remote will display “Paired!”
  • The Dock will display "Your Remote is Now Connected."

Your Remote and Dock are now paired and ready for use!
