Removable Reservoir Leaking Checking the seal: Checking the valve assembly:

Removable Reservoir Leaking

Does your removable reservoir leak from the valve, when it is removed from your control unit?

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

There are a few items to check to ensure your reservoir valve is in good working condition.

Checking the seal:

  • Fill up the reservoir with water and visually inspect the amount of water coming from the valve.
  • Empty the reservoir  and verify that the valve is properly seated.  The O-ring should be flush against the top of the plunger, creating a seal.
  • Press down on the seal from the inside with your finger. Just a simple press is enough to provide a good seal. Refill the reservoir to see if the issue persists.

Checking the valve assembly:

If the reservoir seal is dirty or has hard water build-up, the piece can be disassembled and cleaned with warm soapy water.  Complete the following steps as general maintenance:

  • Empty the reservoir.
  • Depress the spring valve to lift the O-ring to remove it from the plunger (This step can be difficult. We would suggest feeding the straight of a paperclip between the O-ring and plunger to make it easier to pull the O-ring off).
  • Remove the spring from the plunger.
  • Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse clean.
  • Reassemble.
  • Push down on the top of the plunger to verify that the O-ring is sealing properly.

If you complete these steps and the issue persists, your unit may need to be replaced. Find the serial number on your unit (located on the barcode sticker on the back of your unit). Please make sure to enter this on the form when reaching out to Customer Experience Team.
