Dock Pro Leaking Troubleshooting Steps

You may encounter three distinct types of leaks from your Chilipad Dock Pro, each with its own characteristics and potential causes. If you find yourself facing any of these leaks, follow the following troubleshooting steps below to help identify the issue and rectify it:

Water Accumulation in the Reservoir Socket

This type of leak occurs when the reservoir socket becomes filled with water. If you suspect this is happening, begin by carefully removing the reservoir from the unit. Use a dry towel to thoroughly wipe away any excess water that may have collected on the reservoir seat. Next, check the reservoir cap to ensure it is snugly secured on the reservoir. You should listen for and feel a definitive "click" when you secure the cap, indicating that it is properly fastened. After confirming this step, carefully place the reservoir back into the seat of the unit, taking note of whether there is a slight give when seating the reservoir.

Leaks Around the Hose Area

Another common issue arises from leaks near the hose area. Sometimes, these leaks happen at the connector at the pad, especially if there is a poor connection. To prevent this, ensure that the reservoir is properly aligned. The reservoir should sit flush against the unit; if it does not, remove the reservoir and reseat it so that the "ChiliSleep" label is oriented from left to right. After reseating, check if you feel the unit drop slightly into place. Additionally, verify that the "ChiliSleep" label reads correctly, and if it is not oriented from left to right, repeat the seating process.

Internal Leaks

Lastly, internal leaks are typically identified by a puddle forming underneath the unit while the reservoir socket remains dry. If you notice this, it may indicate a more serious internal issue. To investigate further, disconnect the tubing that connects to both the unit and the pad from both ends. Once disconnected, reconnect the tubing, making sure to secure the connections firmly. An audible "click" when securing the connections can confirm that the tubing is tightly fastened.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you can effectively diagnose and address any leaks that may arise with your Dock Pro, ensuring that it continues to operate at its best. If you're still encountering leaks with your Chilipad, we recommend contacting our Customer Experience Team for assistance.
