OOLER Sleep System Error Codes
If your OOLER shows an error code, please follow the steps below in the following order:
- Turn off the OOLER and then unplug the OOLER for 1 minute.
- Plug the OOLER back in and then press the Power Button to turn it on.
- If the error code persists, then try a Factory Reset by holding down the Power Button for 15 seconds until the OOLER turns off. Upon a successful Factory Reset, the OOLER will turn off, and once you turn it back on; it will be reset to 68 degrees F.
If your OOLER is not heating or cooling properly, that is an indication that the WOP chip might have been tripped, either for legitimate reason or through a misfire. If this is the case one step you'll want to take is completing a WOP reset.
What is a WOP Chip?
"WOP" is an acronym for "Water Overheat Protection". This is the chip that helps to process and regulate the water temperature in the system and also works as a failsafe to keep the unit from overheating and causing damage. This chip has been found to be sensitive and will misfire from time to time. On a call where you are trying to troubleshoot a cooling and heating issue you will want to make sure that the issue is a misfire in this chip.
Please try the below steps:
- Remove the hose and the power cord from the back of the unit (this step is optional but it makes the following steps easier to perform).
- Confirm that the cap on the top of the OOLER is securely screwed in.
- Turn the unit so that you can see the bottom. At this point orient the system so that you can read the writing on the bottom of the unit right-side-up.
- Find the Reset hole located on the bottom of the Unit. (Attached is a picture to show where that is.) Insert a 4 inch long, slender Philips screwdriver into the hole. You will then gently move the screw driver from the 5 O'clock area on a clock face to the 8 O'clock area until you feel the screw driver fall into another opening. You will then feel a spongy area.
- Depress the reset button for 20 seconds. This is a flat touch button and you might not think you are pushing it since there isn't a click but if you are going straight into the hole, you can feel it give a little!
- Reassemble the system, try using it as normal.
Please note: Do not turn the unit upside down to try to drain the water.
If this issue persists, take note of the error code as the OOLER may need to be replaced. Find the serial number on your OOLER (located on the barcode sticker on the bottom of your OOLER). Please make sure to enter this on the form when reaching out to our Customer Experience Team.
